The best of the Noughties: POP
15:13
Despite technically being a 90's kid, I am most definitely a noughties kid through and through. As soon as I hear "Somebody hit the lights" at the start of AM to PM by Christina Milian, i'm transported back to the basement in my old house. We had a three room basement that my dad converted to a 'party room'. We had one of those old light flashing things, fairy lights, neon paint, a karaoke and a massive 'stage' (the top of a cupboard) that everyone took turns (e.g. shoving everyone off so you could have the spotlight when your jam came on) to dance and sing on it. It was the best.
So, because I'm a superduper nice person I went through and found all the no1's from 2001 to 2009 and put them all in a playlist. I missed a few out that I personally didn't really get any nostalgia from, but someone them brought back some ridiculous memories. Have a listen and see if it brings back any cringe worthy stories!
A few of my personal favourites are 'Obviously' by McFly, 'Don't Stop Movin' by S Club 7, 'Mysterious Girl' Peter Andre and 'Maneater' by Nelly Furtado.
